Papa John's and Delivery Driver on the Hot Seat as Auto Wreck, Brain Injury Trial Opens

Keenan Nix shows images of Glenda Williams' car, totaled in a wreck with Papa John's delivery driver Robert Pollard's vehicle. Williams claims she suffered severe brain damage because of the collision.  


 Decatur, GA—Attorneys Tuesday sparred over the cause of a collision and injuries a Georgia woman suffered, as trial opened in a suit against Papa John’s Pizza and the delivery driver accused of hitting her. Williams v. Pollard, et al., 14A52522-5.

Jeb Butler delivers closings at trial against Debra Blake, who caused the accident Butler says injured his client, Veronica Uballe, and her daughter. Jurors awarded $45,000 in the case Tuesday. 


Atlanta—Jurors Tuesday awarded $45,000 to a mother and daughter injured in a 2013 collision with a drunk driver, but they refused to award punitive damages in the case. Uballe v. Blake, 14EV00917.
