Marietta, GA — Trial is set to begin this week over a three-car crash that a woman claims forced her to undergo surgery and left her with medical costs running into six figures. Castano-Castano v. Stephens.
According to court documents, Yolanda Castano-Castano’s vehicle was rear-ended by Michael Stephens’ vehicle in August 2012. That crash forced Castano’s vehicle into a head-on collision with an SUV.
Castano says the wreck left her with a range of injuries and more than $191,000 in past medical expenses alone, in addition to the non-economic damages and attorney fees she’s seeking at trial.
However, Stephens argues Castano’s injuries did not all stem from the crash.
Castano is represented by The Yashinsky Law Group’s Jeffrey Yashinsky and Fried Goldberg’s Michael Goldberg, according to court records.
Stephens is represented by Gray, Rust, St. Amand, Moffett & Brieskse’s Michael Rust and Nicole Leet, according to court documents.
Trial, with Cobb County, Georgia State Court Judge Eric Brewton presiding, is expected to last about 4 days.
