Jurors awarded a California nurse more than $1.4 million for the severe shoulder injury she suffered in a 2015 fall at a Ralphs grocery store.

An Atlanta-area obstetrician was cleared of responsibility for the childbirth-related shoulder injury that has left a girl without the use of her right arm.

4. Lanzo v. Cyprus Amex Minerals Co., et al.

Jurors in a New Jersey state courtroom just miles away from Johnson & Johnson's US headquarters slammed the company and their talc supplier Imerys with an $80 million punitive damages verdict on Wednesday, in a lawsuit over the alleged presence of asbestos in talc-based products like Baby Powder and Shower to Shower. The punitive verdict followed a $37 million compensatory award handed down days earlier.

Jurors slammed Johnson & Johnson with a $4.69 billion verdict, including more than $4.1 billion in punitives, for the role they concluded the company played in the ovarian cancer 22 women developed after years of using its talc-based products.
