Social media took center stage last month at trial over the injuries a Georgia woman received in a tractor-trailer crash, with Carlock Copeland’s Fred Valz using the woman’s online posts to help key a verdict that was a fraction of what she sought.

Atlanta—A Fulton County Superior Court judge Thursday entered an $18.75-plus million post-verdict judgment against MARTA, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, following trial over a paratransit van fall that left a passenger with catastrophic brain damage.
