Marietta, GA— Trial is set to begin Monday against a party rental company over a rec-day accident that fractured a Georgia teen’s skull. Reyes Quezada v. Game Truck Georgia LLC, 16-A-2186.

According to documents filed in the case, Salvador Reyes, then 18, was playing “bubble soccer” at a Campbell High School party in May 2016 when he crashed into another student and fractured his skull.

The “bubble soccer” game, where players wear inflatable "bubble suits" that extend from above their heads to below their waists, was overseen by Game Truck Georgia LLC, the company Campbell High, in Smyrna, Georgia, contracted with to put on the event, according to court documents.

Reyes, who contends he suffered brain damage from the collision, claims Game Truck failed to properly warn him of the activity’s dangers and didn’t adequately instruct him on safety protocol.

Game Truck counters that Reyes ignored safety warnings and charged at another player, which caused the injury.

Reyes, a senior on the school’s soccer team at the time of the accident, is represented by Fried Rogers Goldberg’s Michael Goldberg and Brad Thomas and by Curtis Law’s William Curtis, according to court documents.

Game Truck is represented by Skedsvold & White’s Craig White, according to the case’s pre-trial order.

Trial, before Cobb County State Court Judge Carl Bowers, is expected to last about 4 days.

CVN will cover the trial, and provide updates via its news page, as well as gavel-to-gavel video as soon as possible after the verdict.
