Milwaukee, WI - Pabst Brewing Company and MillerCoors reached a settlement Wednesday as a Wisconsin state court jury deliberated for a second day in the bitter $400M+ contract dispute between the two beer producers.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed when Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Witkowiak dismissed the jurors. Representatives for the parties could not be immediately reached for comment.

The trial began on November 13 and stemmed from Miller's alleged intention not to renew a contract with Pabst to brew a number of their popular beers, including the ubiquitous Pabst Blue Ribbon. Pabst argued it didn't have alternative production options, and that the decision by Miller was part of a concerted effort to put the company out of business.

The full trial was webcast live and recorded gavel-to-gavel by Courtroom View Network from the start of opening statements forward, and is available to CVN subscribers for on-demand viewing.

Pabst’s trial team is headed by Adam Paris, a partner with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP based in their Los Angeles office, along with Robert Sacks and Jackson Trugman of the same firm. The California trial team is backed up by local Wisconsin counsel Brian Cahill and David Turek of Gass Weber Mullins LLC.

Miller is represented by an all Wisconsin-based team made up of Eric Van Vugt, Joshua Maggard, James Goldschmidt and Patrick Proctor-Brown of Quarles & Brady LLP.

The case is captioned Pabst Brewing Company LLC v. MillerCoors LLC, docket number 2016CV002536 in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
